Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride

During my 10th grade, Field Demo was an annual school event in my school. As a new student there, it's a whole new world for me. The whole school was preparing for it even though it was 3 months before the said event to come.  The country which was assigned to our class was Hawaii, so we need to introduce Hawaii to the whole school through a production number.

That whole 3 months were a roller coaster ride for me because given that I'm a new student and some of my classmates are the meanest one in the school ,it was hard not to have issues or fights because of that. As a new one, I tend to just kept a silent ear to the things I hear and shut my down so that the issues about me would not became big.

One time during our practice, all of the girls are at the same are because that's our choreography in the intro of our production number. My classmates were talking mean stuffs about me even though they know presence. That time I felt that I'm going to explode but I don't want a bigger issue so I remained silenced. I just observed them and when I knew it's time to do that choreography again I just turned on my voice recorder without even noticed and put it on my pants as usual. At the end of that dance number I just faced them saying "Ok na kayo? Baka may gusto pa kayong sabihin, sabihin niyo na. Para kumpleto na yung idea niyo sa akin s record ko." And that made them silenced the whole practice.  After the day, I surrendered my phone to the prefect because of that evidence of bullying happened to me and the next day I just heard that the issues about me were all gone as my mean classmates went into a severe disciplinary action.

As the time we need present our hula dance in our field demo, they looked at me feeling guilty for what they have done and never talked to me again before and after our junior high graduation.

After encountering those kinds of events in my life, I became a better and equal person as I am today. They say that after being a victim of bully , most of them became a bully just to return the hardships they been through. But for my case, I learned that not all victims turns into a bully because being a one will not make you hot nor famous person in the school but make yourself look little. That's also one of my reasons why I want to become a good educator someday. For me to share that having "Equality and respect inside and outside the classroom is not bad but a healthy thinking of a responsible student and citizen of our country".
